The name of the winery, Uva Nestum, means grapes from the Mesta River. The winery processes grapes from their own vineyards. Nearby is the ancient Roman town Nicopo- lis ad Nestrum – 7 km east of the town. The town of Gotse Delchev and 12 km in the direction of the Rhodope Mountains are the famous Ognyanovo mineral springs, and two architectural masterpieces: the villages of Leshten and Kovachevitsa.
